去年二月份的一篇文章「访问者使用的游览器」中曾经指出，2011-2012年将会是IE, Firefox以及Chrome三分天下的年度。其实只答对了一半，因为这三个游览器正面交锋是在2011年份；当时的市场占有率是IE(31.23%), Firefox(32.30%)以及Chrome(30.81%)，形成了图表的黄金交叉点。
此后，突然间Chrome开始以巨大的优势抛开其他的游览器。2012年截至8月28日的数据，整年游览此部落格的网友，43.09%使用Chrome，远远比排在第二Firefox的24.87%高出接近20个百分点。这些都是用Google Analytics长期记录的数据。接下来我看在2013年6月份或之前Chrome应该会突破50%的占有率。
这仅仅只是我部落格的数据。网际网络上，根据Wikimedia 2012年7月份记录的数据，Chrome占了33.83%排在第一。昔日的霸主IE的地位正式被Chrome取代。记得在2005年使用占有率超过9成的IE已经今非昔比。原因无他，当别人进步比她快，位置不保是理所当然。最新的IE10推出市面，我看也是于事无补。
