这只单曲早在上个月已经在LiteFM大播特播，刚开始我察觉不到是谁唱的，但还是一直跟着哼，不一会就朗朗上口。James Blunt这么的独特声线，我认不出，还真够迟钝。不过，这一点都不损害我对此歌曲的喜爱程度。这首《1973》节奏轻快、鲜明，曲调中带有淡淡的悲伤，配上James Blunt难以言喻的热情的嗓子，简直就是天衣无缝。

当这首歌曲推出市场时，很多人都误会1973是James Blunt的出世年份，事实上他是生于1974年2月22日。这首歌的创作灵感其实是来自西班牙著名的度假圣地Ibiza的一家俱乐部。1973年就是这家俱乐部开张营业的年份。Simona也真尤其人，据说是James Blunt在俱乐部内认识的一名女性。
